Well Being & CyberSafety

at COHR

COHR is working towards becoming an eSmart School.  eSmart’s aim is to help our school maintain a supported and connected community to reduce online and offline bullying and increase wellbeing.

This year we have joined up and are currently working in the planning stages of reviewing our current policies and procedures in relation to curriculum and also the management of issues associated with technology and its protocols.

eSmart Schools, as an initiative of the Alannah & Madeline Foundation, helps teachers and the greater community to best manage cyber risks, bullying and cyberbullying issues so students feel safer and supported.  It is a Framework that sits across the entire community – teachers, students, parents and the wider community.

eSmart Schools is a long-term change program designed to educate, track, monitor and prevent bullying and cyberbullying.  eSmart also supports schools to embrace the benefits of technology while reducing children's exposure to cyber risks, such as cyber bullying, online sexual predation, sexting, identity theft and fraud.

Our goal is to keep children safe from bullying, cyber bullying and violence. eSmart is a way to achieve this.

Being part of the eSmart community enables us to offer parent webinars that are presented by eSmart personnel into different topics about the digital world for families.  We have joined up for the following webinars and will share the links with you when we receive them the day before the designated time slot.
