A message from our Principal

Dear St. Brendan's School Community,

We welcome our students back to school for Term 3 and they look very refreshed and pleased to be back at school.

Our Staff began the Term with a Professional Development Day.  Staff worked on lessons for Resilience, Rights and Respectful Relationships Program, Prep-Year 6.  This program has lessons and activities that help students learn and practice social skills, and apply them in a positive way of learning, life and relationships.

The program covers eight social and emotional topics to support the delivery of respectful relationships content through the Victorian Curriculum.   All classes will have one lesson each week.

Staff also worked on the Victorian Institute of Teaching Code of Conduct and also had planning time for their Literacy-Author Study.

Update - Coronavirus Rules

There are changes happening very quickly and maybe more changes later in the day.

At the present time, face masks are mandatory indoors for anyone aged 12 and above, unless an exception applies.

  • Face Masks must be worn outdoors if 1.5 metre distance cannot be maintained
  • Any symptoms, no matter how mild, get tested
  • Use the Service Victoria QR Code App

Thanks to all Parents/Carers who are dropping off children in the morning and then going and waiting for children at the gates with masks on.  We appreciate your support in ensuring we are keeping everyone safe.

Any updates will be communicated via the School App.

FIRE Carriers

We are pleased to be able to hold our Fire Carriers Presentation tomorrow in our School Hall for the children who are receiving their badges and to their parents in attending.

Parents of the children are asked to come to the front of the Hall and sign in, using the Victoria QR Code.  Please ensure you wear a face mask.

We welcome Michael Chisholm - Education Officer for Catholic Education Sandhurst, Aboriginal and Torres Islander Education, who will conduct our Fire Carriers Ceremony.

Year 6 Students
