From the Principal

Dear Parents, Staff, Students and Friends

Welcome back!

We hope you had a relaxing and enjoyable break.  Welcome back for Term 3 which will again provide many highlights for us as a learning community.  Despite the latest lockdown and move to remote learning let us remain focused and positive about the term ahead.  I am excited to work with you as we continue to provide an outstanding education for our students.

Production

We are very excited to see our upcoming production of Matilda which, subject to the latest health advice, opens in our PAT (Performing Arts Theatre) on Thursday 29 July.  Tickets are available through Try Booking.  Click here to access to the Matilda event page.  It would be fantastic to have you there supporting our wonderful students and staff.

Professional Learning Day

Our first day of Term 3 commenced with whole staff professional learning on Teaching and Learning.  This was a great opportunity for us to reflect and plan further around our Teaching and Learning model, hear from students around their learning and student agency and have our staff work together in teams sharing best practice strategies that improve student outcomes.  Thank you to all of our leaders involved in organising this day and to all of our teachers who presented during this time.

Funding for building works – Your Future School

Thank you once again to all students, staff and parents/guardians who provided us with feedback on the future of Frankston High School.  I am pleased to inform you that we have had approval of our AMP (Asset Management Plan) Phase 1 by South Eastern Victoria Region and the VSBA (Victorian School Building Authority).  The next step is the appointment of an architect to design our future learning spaces.  I will update you with this information once this step is finalised.

Term 3 Activities

It is fantastic to have a large variety of lunchtime activities and Semper Squad activities on offer again this term which will commence in the near future (pending lockdown).  Thank you to all staff involved in offering their efforts and time.

See Important Dates, Activities & Events section.
