Co-curricular - Junior Sport

Junior School Sport
After what looked like a promising start to the year with a full Term 1 and Term 2 of Co-curricular sport, we find ourselves once again at the mercy of COVID-19 and the restrictions that come with rising case numbers. Currently, the last three rounds of the Independent Primary School Heads of Australia (IPSHA) winter season have been postponed. There will be no rounds of winter sport played this weekend of 17 July.
These postponements have extended into the representative pathways, with the NSW Primary Schools Sports Association (NSWPSSA)/All Schools Cross Country Championships also being postponed. Currently there has been no decision made on a rescheduled date for this event. We are keeping our fingers crossed for carnivals and championships scheduled for August.
Unfortunately, there have been no decisions made on when and how Junior School Co-curricular sport will return this year. We will be guided by IPSHA, NSW Combined Independent Schools (NSWCIS) and NSW Health and I will let the College community know of any decisions made in this regard. What is certain is that there will be no Co-curricular training, games, or events while we are in the remote learning model. Hopefully, we will be back to school soon and with that, recommence the Co-curricular program in the Junior School.
In the meantime, stay safe, healthy, and happy.
