Doug McDonald - Chaplain

Doug grew up in regional Victoria on a dairy farm near Tatura / Shepparton, entered youth work immediately after school, and worked with local community Youth Clubs and Schools over many years.

In his young adult season, he worked with disadvantaged youths in a number of services, including Monash City Council, Springvale Secondary College and residential care for YFC Southern Youth Services and Church clubs. 

Later Doug was recruited to lead and establish a youth club with a Church in Clayton, and completed bachelor studies while running a leadership training program. As a result, he is well equipped to assist youth from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds. 

Recently Doug has completed a Master of Arts, learnings in culture, comparative religions, globalisation and diaspora research. 

He is also writing a biography of his grandparent's lives.

Doug enjoys creative arts, keeping fit, nature, rides and relaxing with family and friends.
