PE and Sports News!
Hi Everyone,
I hope you are staying healthy and active during these crazy times.
Just a few updates from me:
Live PE Lessons:
While PE online can be challenging, it has been so great to be able to continue to connect with the students during home learning. It has given us an opportunity to practice some of the skills we have been doing at school (P-2 bouncing skills; 3-4 bowls; 5-6 ultimate frisbee) and also an opportunity for me to impart my health knowledge as a Nutritionist which I find really important and only wish I had more time to keep chatting about it. :)
Everything we have been learning and discussing, can be found on the PE Classroom website - found here. This has been created so the students can go away and practise the skills they have been learning throughout each term but I have also updated it with some games and skills the students may like to do to keep themselves occupied at home while parents are working etc.
Year 4 Gala Day
Unfortunately due these crazy times we have had to cancel the Winter Year 4 Gala Day this year. I am hoping that next year we can start fresh and have our Summer and Winter sports just how we want them to be! Hopefully some of our other activities will go ahead as planned this year but this will all depend on the Covid 19 situation.
Year 5/6 District Finals
Unfortunately these have been cancelled because of the circumstances. The focus for SSV now will be on any Summer Finals we haven't had like volleyball, softball etc. Will provide more information when I know more.
Year 4-6 District Athletics
At this stage these have been rescheduled to Tuesday 12th October (week 2 of term 4). Hopefully we can head to the track before this date and have our own Athletics Day like we were supposed to last week ahh. More information will be provided once I can provide these.
That is all from me!
As always, touch base if you need clarification on anything.
Stay Well, Stay Active
