Parents and Friends

This year, due to disruption with lockdown, our VCE students did not have the opportunity to participate in the Simunye project.  P&F was keen to support Simunye or a related initiative from funds raised by our recent support of the Lions Club Opportunity Shop volunteering week.  

Together with Ms Beal, we identified in the absence of Simunye another worthy initiative which nevertheless provides direct support to African children in need.  The Committee resolved to donate $500 to the Virtual Santa Shoebox Project.  Every Virtual Santa Shoebox contains 8 required items: a toothpaste & toothbrush, soap & a facecloth, sweets, a toy, school supplies and a voucher for an outfit of clothing for underprivileged children in remote areas of South Africa.

 It has been a pleasure to be involved directly in such a worthy initiative.
