Holidays

Students have borrowed extra books to read this week as they will not be at school to access the library. We hope that they enjoy their reading as well as their time at home or away.

Events in the Library

The Great Book Swap, run with the help of our Fire Carriers, was on in the library for three lunchtimes from 4-6th September. Students and staff had donated books which were available to swap for a gold coin. We raised $96.60, which will go to the Indigenous Literacy Foundation to help them publish books in indigenous languages and to give books to students in remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait communities.

During Italian Week, the library was buzzing with the display of the students' Leonardo DaVinci artwork. The amazing Mona Lisas certainly brightened our display spaces. Parents came on the Thursday afternoon to see the models and the pictures, staying for tea and scones.
