Art in 1/2 

In visual arts, Year One and Year Two students, have been discussing how food and influence art. Inspired by American sculptor Claes Oldenburg, students created a 2D collage representing their favourite healthy food.

Throughout this process Year One and Year Two students further developed their skills in:

collage - making realistic shapes representing specific foods

representing food using the appropriate coloured paper

creating artwork that looks like everyday items we recognise

This week Year One and Year Two students will complete their 3D representation of their favourite food, using Magiclay and acrylic paint.
