Parent – Teacher – Student Conferences and Feedback to Parents

Our first subject-based Parent – Teacher – Student Conferences are rapidly approaching. These will be held remotely via Google Meet. Classes will be facilitated remotely on each of these days. There will be four classes of 55 minutes duration, running from 8.40 am to 1.00 pm for all year levels. All students will learn from home on the Parent – Teacher – Student Conference Days.

To maximise booking opportunities for families, the conferences will be run over two days, for specified year level groups.  Year levels can only make bookings on the assigned days.

  • Years 8, 9 and 11: Thursday 30 March from 2.00 pm – 8.00 pm
  • Years 7, 10 and 12: Tuesday 4 April from 2.00 pm – 8.00 pm

Details for bookings and the processes have been sent, via Operoo, for the Years 8, 9, 11 Conferences on 30 March and will be sent out later this week for the conferences on 4 April.

We strongly recommend that all families attend these conferences. They will provide the opportunity for you and your daughter to meet with subject teachers to discuss her progress to date and, most importantly, her next learning steps and strategies for maximising progress for the remainder of the year.

By now students should have completed some assessments, both formative and summative. Teachers should be releasing feedback and marks via SEQTA. By the end of term, you should expect to see some written feedback for each subject or unit that students are studying. Ideally this should highlight areas for improvement and be accompanied by some student reflection. Please take the time to review this feedback and discuss it with your daughter.
