Book Club

Book Club is an opportunity for all book lovers from Year 7 to Year 12 to meet together and share their love of books and reading. Book Club members are fans of a variety of book genres from graphic novels to historical fiction. It is wonderful to hear them discuss their favourite books and authors and to see their enthusiastic involvement in the lunchtime activities.

Last week, Book Club members were asked to create Book Spine Poetry. They raced around the Resource Centre looking for the books with the most appropriate titles to use in their poems. Their completed poems were very impressive.

On Wednesday in Book Club, we completed a fun activity where we created a poem using the titles of books. To do this we stacked up the books we chose for our poem in order of how we wanted it to go. After, we shared our poems with each other and there was a wide range of unique and creative poems!
