Schools Clean Up Day

Thank you to everyone involved!  Of course the challenge does not end here. Our message is 365-days a year - and start by addressing it higher up by RETHINKING and REDUCING your waste!  Here are some photos from the clean up:

A waste audit has been conducted by the Green Team and we will announce the results soon.

Check out our class pledges to reduce waste...

Shout out to Mr Benny Chan and the Green Team for the superb job getting this up and running today. Great initiative, thanks and well done!

Gardiner’s Creek Regional Collaboration

Many of our supporters will know that KooyongKoot (Gardiners) Creek has its group dedicated to its love, care and protection – the KooyongKoot Alliance. But did you know there is now a regional collaboration with a broader set of stakeholders?

The GCRC is an initiative of a diverse group of organisations that aims to protect and enhance the Gardiners Creek/KooyongKoot catchment for the benefit of future generations by developing a Strategic Plan for the entire area. The collaboration comprises five councils - Stonnington, Monash, Boroondara, Whitehorse and Glen Eira - plus water authorities Melbourne Water and Yarra Valley Water, as well Deakin University and a large number of Community stakeholders, including YRKA.

While the collaboration is in its early stages, good progress has been made. We will share news as it comes to light. In the meantime, learn more about this special place via Facebook and get involved!

Visit Yarra Riverkeeper Association for more of their events and work.
