What's What in the World of Milk

This week in the Year 11 Food Tech class, students were discovering the differences between a range of milk products. Conducting a sensory evaluation of each of the five milk varieties, students tasted each before listing what they thought it was. The five varieties were; Fresh Homogenised, Fresh Unhomogenised, Ultra High Treated, Evaporated and Dehydrated (powdered). The evaporated milk left a lasting impression, with most students unimpressed with the taste, texture or smell.

Half of the group successfully identified each milk, before all students were treated to a glass of Milo and some choc-chip cookies, to finish out the class.
