Athletics Assistance

The Advance Class and a number of our VCE VM students helped out last Friday at the Beaufort Primary School Athletics day. A key component of Advance is to participate and volunteer in activities that help our local community. Over the past few weeks, we have been assisting the students with their Athletics practice, helping us to improve our communication and inter-personal skills. It was a great opportunity for us to help out, working as part of a team to ensure the day ran smoothly. The best part was being able to work with the Primary School students and help them learn new skills while having fun.

Advance and VCE VM students were assigned different activities, with Kayla, Lily and Matt at the Long Jump, Lochie and Elizabeth at the Shot Put, Matilda and Mia at Discus, Riley and Charlotte at the Target Throw, Em and Fletch at the Soccer Kick, Reagan and Sarah at the Netball, Flick and Savana at the Vortex, Praneel, Jet and Nathan at the T-ball, Ella and Zac at the High Jump and Ash, Annie and Matilda at the Timed Hurdles. Thanks to Zac, Sarah, Reagan and Fletch, who also provided assistance across other areas throughout the day.
