New Staff

Cobram Secondary College would like to welcome four new staff for 2018.

They are, from left to right, Michelle Anderson, Amy Brain, Lauren Parker and Georgia Brown.

Michelle Anderson

I am a Maths teacher who teaches across Years 7 to VCE. I have been teaching some twenty plus years across the eastern states, spending time in Queensland, NSW and Victoria. Locally I have taught at Goulburn Valley Grammar, Notre Dame and most recently spending four years at Numurkah Secondary College. My family are heavily involved in the dairy industry. Greg (hubby) and I have two daughters who show dairy cattle around Australia and this takes up much of my free time supporting them.

My first impressions of Cobram Secondary are that the VCE students are amazingly focussed and know exactly what is expected of them.  This hopefully will translate into some fantastic grades.

Amy Brain

I have come to CSC from Finley High School and am teaching Year 7, 8 and 9 Science and Year 10 Introduction to Biology. I am passionate about science, especially science to do with the Earth and its systems, and agriculture. Out of school, I like water-skiing and spending time with my fiancé and two kids. I am excited to share my passion for science with the students at CSC and also to learn from the students!

Lauren Parker

I’m Lauren Parker, a recent Deakin University graduate and the newest member of the Cobram Secondary College English team. Growing up in Wangaratta, the move to Cobram has felt like going back home. I’m excited to be here and have been loving it already. My first impression of Cobram Secondary was one of a welcoming and caring community and these first weeks have proven that from the staff, students and school community.

My first impression of CSC is that it is a great school with plenty of opportunities for learning, both in the classroom and out of the classroom.

Georgia Brown

I’m Georgia Brown. I’m from Wollongong, New South Wales, and am taking over from Mr Mc Manus as Cobram Secondary College’s new Japanese teacher. I have lived in Kobe and Tokyo in Japan and am looking forward to teaching Japanese history and culture in my classes this year. I enjoy watching and playing soccer, and am excited to be playing with Cobram Roar this season. My first impressions of Cobram Secondary College are that the staff and students are warm and welcoming and that the school has a strong sense of community.
