Well Being 4K

Hello wonderful MPS families,

In order to boost wellbeing across the school, teachers have been providing opportunities for students to participate in fun activities during Webex lessons. 

These games have lifted morale and helped keep students engaged and motivated during remote learning. 

My favourite wellbeing activities that our class has participated in has been our ‘Baby photo guessing competition’ and our ‘Talent Show’. Well done to all the teachers, students and families working together to make the best out these unusual times!

Remote learning has had its challenges for most of us, however, our class has been doing fun activities to help keep us focused and motivated. We've been doing things like drawing competitions where we were given a silly topic to draw, then we choose a winner. We also did a talent show! The children who wanted to participate had one minute to showcase their talent. Many people played piano, I myself played the violin. Some children did drawings, some performed magic tricks and some even did sport and gymnastics! We were all AMAZED with each other’s talent. We have also danced to a Stomp Dance video and had a day to share funny jokes with the grade. Although remote learning hasn’t been as good as being at school, there is always a positive side to things!

Our class recently had a baby photo guessing competition. It was great fun and a good break from school work. We sent in photos of when we were babies and we all had to guess who it was? The winner of the competition with the most correct guesses was Amalia. 

When I asked Alana her thoughts about the baby guessing competition, she said “I think it was fun and very funny too”. 

The hardest baby photos to figure out were the newborn ones, especially when some children’s hair and eye colour had changed! Since we are all in lockdown, why don’t you try a baby photo guessing competition next time you have a video call with your friends or family?
