Education Perfect Science Championships 2020
Congratulations to all our students who participated in the Education Perfect Science Championships from 18 – 24 August 2020 in order to celebrate Science Week.
Overall the College came 32nd, globally (out of 1,874 schools) and 19th overall in Australia (out of 1,281 schools). Our students answered 110,282 questions, earned 73,640 points and spent 319 hours online.
Our students achieved 26 Awards: 12 Credit Awards (500+ points), 8 Bronze Awards (1,000+ points), 2 Silver Awards (2,000+ points), 1 Gold Award (3,000+ points), 2 Emerald Awards (5,000+ points) and 1 Elite Award (10,000+ points)
Congratulations to Andrew Guerrera (Year 10) who came 1st in the College and 34th overall with a massive 15,018 points and one of the few participants to receive an Elite Award. Andrew received a $50 GiftPay voucher from EP for this achievement.
Ethan Li (Year 8) and Aiden Tubman (Year 8) should also be congratulated for receiving over 5,000 points and an Emerald Award. These boys will receive a lucky door prize from the Science Department.
Liam Boswell (Year 8) was also the lucky recipient of a Bronze Prize Draw $20 GiftPay voucher from EP.

Winter Sports and Other Group Photos
These photos will now be taken tomorrow, Thursday September 3. All Winter Sports photos followed by the Other Group Photos that were unable to be taken in June will take place between Periods 1 – 4. Students are to bring their respective sport uniforms to school and get changed in the GYM before their photos. All students must bring their ID cards to each photo. A running order has been included below.
There will be two order forms given out tomorrow. One will include the Performing Arts and Other Group Photos. The other will include the Winter Sports Photos.

Congratulations to Charles McElvogue, Year 12, who this week has learned he has won the prestigious Long Tan Award at NSW School of Languages (NSL). Charles is most deserving of the Award for his passion for languages and Asian culture.
This year, Charles will complete the HSC for both Japanese Beginners and Chinese Continuers. We congratulate Charles for his commitment to learning languages and for being a wonderful role model for other students at the College.

Boxercise is BACK!
Regular sessions are available every Thursday and Friday morning starting at 7.30 am in the College Gym.
Every boy is encouraged to attend classes to help improve their physical and mental health and build their resilience during these trying times.
Boxing gear is supplied, all that is required is a change of clothes, water bottle and some discipline and commitment to improve your sense of well-being.

Parenting Programs at Home
CatholicCare Naremburn, Northern Beaches and Waitara are presenting ONLINE Parenting Programs for Term 4. Bookings are required and places are limited. The programs will be delivered using Zoom. Priority will be given to those residing in Northern Sydney suburbs.
