Transition

There are only three and a half weeks to the end of Term Three.  The school is already planning for the 2021 school year and looking at ways we can support our students as they return to school at some stage before the end of the year.

The Minister of Education yesterday was hopeful that we will return at the start of next term.  However, nothing has been decided yet and it is all dependent upon the daily numbers of new cases going down and being under control.

What we do know is that in January next year we have a new group of Year Prep students starting school and each of your children will be moving up to a new year level.

As happened when the students returned in Term Two, the staff will support their re-connection to the school, their grade and their friends.  The mental health of the students is high priority for us all.

The staff are conscious also of the need to support your children in preparing to transition to the next year level in 2021 (this is even more important for next year given the year we have had).  We will therefore continue our Term Four Transition Program - although it may look at little different this year.

Malvern Primary School has a strong focus on knowing the individual student as a learner and person, in order to provide a program that meets the needs of each individual.  This focus will also be even more important as our students transition back to school and to their next year level.

We have a highly skilled teaching team, with a host of tools to assist them in their support of your child.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your child's teacher.

We look forward to catching up with everyone soon.  Please stay safe!
