GENERAL NEWS

PRESENTATION NIGHT  - The Virtual Look!

Given the restrictions in place, our annual Presentation Night will take on a different format again this year. Instead of viewing the evening from a chair at the TRECC, families will be able to sit together in the comfort of their own home to watch the amazing talents of our students and staff celebrating the 'year that was' via a pre-recorded link.

Links to all presentations items can be found via Youtube by searching 'St Nicholas Primary School, Tamworth'

SEMESTER 2 REPORTS

YEAR 1- YEAR 6 SEMESTER 2 REPORTS are now available through the Compass parent portal. For Mathematics and English, this report will indicate if your child is working at the expected level of achievement, or if he/she is working towards or beyond the expected level for their grade.

For all subjects, your child’s level of engagement (during both on-line and face to face opportunities) will be outlined. This refers to the degree of attention, curiosity and interest shown when learning.

Furthermore, this report will include information about your child’s learning and connection skills. It will conclude with a detailed comment from your child’s teacher highlighting growth, achievement and next steps in learning.

KINDERGARTEN SEMESTER 2 REPORTS are presented in quite a different format and were distributed on Monday. This report consists of a very detailed checklist for each subject area. This will indicate if your child is working at the expected level of achievement, or if he/she may be working towards or beyond the expected level for Kindergarten. The effort displayed in each subject area will also be outlined.

We hope you enjoy reading your child’s report and celebrating their learning successes with them.

LIVING WELL, LEARNING WELL

We would like to take this opportunity to remind all our families on our three rules for living at St Nicholas Primary School.

  1. I am safe.
  2. I am valued, respected and cared for.
  3. I am a learner.

If we are following these rules, we are showing that 'Manners Matter' and that we value everyone's right to feel happy and safe at school.

Please take some time to talk with your child/ren about how they can demonstrate these rules at school and at home.
