On Sunday 21st November the Church will celebrate the Feast of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe

This feast is celebrated on the last Sunday of each liturgical year.

 The new liturgical year begins on the first Sunday of Advent.

The feast gives special recognition to that Christ reigns as King forever and regions over all aspects of our lives

 

Sacrament of First Eucharist

Next week we will be celebrating the Sacrament of First Eucharist on:

Tuesday 23rd November 5:00pm at St Anne’s Church

Tuesday 23rd November 6:30pm at St Anne’s Church

 

PLEASE NOTE - Due to Government restrictions:

  • Only the people that have booked via TRYBOOKING will be able to attend
  • We require all attendees 16yo and older to be fully vaccinated. 
  • All adults and children from Year 3 school age and above, are required to wear a face mask throughout the mass 
  • Attendees will be required to QR on entry and be asked to show that they checked in and show their Vaccination Certificate.

Sacrament of Confirmation 

We can confirm that the Sacrament of Confirmation for the current Year 6 students will take place at Salesian College on Friday 4th March 2022. Bishop Terry Curtin will be our celebrant and Father Kevin will concelebrate. The time or times will depend on the restriction of numbers attending therefore cannot be decided until early in 2022.

There is a Parenting in Faith Session planned prior to the Confirmation on Tuesday 8th February and Wednesday 9th February, 2022 at 6:30pm in St Anne’s Church that the Candidate and parent are required to attend. The Parish will contact families regarding booking a preferred session for the Parenting in Faith Evening as well as booking the Sacrament of Confirmation celebration and paying the registration fee.

 

We would like to remind families to complete the Google Form by Friday 19th November 2021 that was sent home last week via Operoo with the name of the Confirmation Candidate’s Sponsor and their chosen Confirmation name Together with your child please complete the attached form by Friday 19th November

 

Please note: The Sponsor must be over 16 years of age and a baptised Catholic, who is a suitable role model for the candidates as they grow in faith and maturity. The Confirmation name is that of a saint, that they have researched, respect and have a connection with.
