Kindergarten News

Dickens Room

We are maximizing our days and sessions of kinder at the moment, busy discussing celebrations, creating Christmas art and exploring the school and garden before the hot weather impacts us.

The Wimbi children have been busy with their creative and artistic skills, lots of group play and even some group games, such as bug in a rug. We are enjoying our last few weeks together as a class and the opportunity to learn and grow.

Don't forget that we have a Parent Q&A zoom session on Wednesday at 7pm for 2021 Kindergarten families.

Our Marram class has responded so well to all of the extra opportunities and inclusions in the program. They have shown their level of maturity and development through this by focusing and concentrating on task, adapting and remaining flexible to changes and busy schedules and through remaining curious and self aware.

Moore Room

Super fabulous week in the Moore room. We have been enjoying some Xmas craft through string painting, salt dough baking, play dough with cutters and making paper chains. The language around mathematical concepts has been delightful as has being able to see the satisfaction of their achievements.

Large body movements has been extended through the children being able to challenge themselves through some new experiences in sport; tunnel ball, sack races, egg and spoon races and extending themselves on the monkey bars.

We have loved creating in the pebble pit – making car tracks, racing car making with the big blocks and some expert towers with the tool kit. We have started to harvest our broad beans and will be making some broad bean dip to experience ‘harvesting to plate’ goodness.

Please remember to read the seesaw family announcements about the communication for the end of the year.

Have a fabulous week!
