Wellbeing

A Message from Wellbeing
October is National Mental Health Month and is an initiative of the Mental Health Foundation of Australia. This year, the theme is ‘Mental Health Matters’.
As we recommence onsite learning it is important to remember to focus on, and look after, our mental health and wellbeing. The SOC Wellbeing Team are available for any concerns or worries that you may have during this time.
I will also be focusing on different health-related topics and providing information and tips that may be helpful.
In recent months we have all experienced high levels of stress and uncertainty which may in turn lead to mental health concerns arising.
During this time many support services and agencies have provided excellent support, resources and information, including:
- Crisis support phone and online counselling
- Apps
- Supports for Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islanders
- Self-guided programs
- Moderated Forums
- Supports for older adults and young people alike
These services are accessible via phone, computer or tablet and many are free of charge and can be accessed at any time.
Should you have any questions about how to access these supports or what supports may be helpful, please come to the Wellbeing Office or check out the Wellbeing Board located out the front of the Wellbeing Office.
Below is a list of Support Services that may be helpful.
Take care!
