HARVEY’S HIGHLIGHTS! WHAT’S BEEN HAPPENING AT SPS?
FRIDAY FUNDAY
Every Friday throughout Term 4 we are going to have a theme on a Friday for some fun. We are trying to make every Friday a bit of extra fun for the students to finish off the year and make it memorable. so far we have had,
Crazy Sock Day
Book Character dress up day
They won't all be dress up days they will just have something fun about them. If they are dress up days we will give you notice. We will try to stick to things you already have so you do not need to go and buy anything - it is just to have a bit of fun.
The next two Friday themes are…..
FRIDAY 13th NOVEMBER – Mindfulness Day. Teachers will be participating in mindfulness activities within their grades which could include yoga, colouring, meditation, soft music playing, story reading, etc.
FRIDAY 20TH NOVEMBER - Number Dress Up – come dressed as a numeracy ninja or wear your favourite number any way you like. i.e. 3 hats, 10 hair ties, 100s and 1000s for lunch, sandwiches cut into fractions, etc.
I will send out what we are doing in the newsletter every fortnight so keep an eye out for what is coming up next.

Don’t forget to bring in your reading diaries to show us where you are up to in your reading journey. We are continuing to try and take photos of the students who have reached 100, 200 and even 300 nights. I will add more photos as they are taken.

SPS SUSTAINABILITY
Now we are back at school we are working with our SEEC team to educate everyone about how they can help the environment. Each week our leaders, Chad and Tamieka, will be giving us a tip to remind us what we can do at home and at school to look after our environment. Every Tuesday we will be checking which class has the most nude food and they will receive a certificate.
THIS WEEKS SUSTAINABILITY TIP IS……
Did you know you could Save power by making sure you turn off appliances when you are not in the room including lights, heating and cooling.
