Book Week

Activities

Many of our celebrated annual events of the school year have had to be adapted to new conditions. The GSSC Library Team have been committed to enabling our students to celebrate Book Week, albeit under these restricted conditions. The traditional August date was moved to October 19-23 at the start of our first remote learning period.  No-one then was anticipating a second round of remote learning in Term 3.  The GSSC Library Team spent time over the second remote learning period planning activities for students and staff to enjoy.

The following activities were available for students to participate in across the College:

Book Week Promotion Poster, class voting on the CBCA shortlisted novels, staff and students writing the `Books We Love’ on the glass walls of the Libraries and a 'Match the Staff Member with their favourite book' competition.
