2020 Applications for VCE at the Centre for Adult Education are Open

Students looking for a VCE provider in Melbourne’s CBD should consider the Centre of Adult Education. Situated in a convenient locale, the CAE offers full-time VCE study or single subject enrolments which can be part of VET, VCAL studies or for personal interest. The CAE has been providing education in the city for over 70 years and caters for variety of students including those looking for an alternative to mainstream schooling or adults returning to study. There are a range of subjects on offer including maths, sciences, humanities and social sciences. Support services are also available, such as, the Reconnect Program which aims to support students returning from a break in study. VCE applications are now open for 2020. You Can't Ask That: call-out for autistic participants

ou Can't Ask That is an ABC show that asks misunderstood, judged or marginalised Australians the awkward, inappropriate or uncomfortable questions people want to know the answers to, but have been too afraid to ask.

 

The next season will have an episode on autism, and the ABC is encouraging autistic people to apply to be on the show – but be prepared to answer awkward, taboo and blunt questions!

2020 Victorian Youth Week Grants 

2020 Victorian Youth Week grants are still open! Your ideas could recieve grants of up to $2,000. 

Event ideas should:

  • include young people in event planning and delivery
  • promote positive images of young people by showcasing their talents, achievements and contribution to the community
  • support young people to express their ideas
  • provide opportunities to have youth voice heard within the community.

 Leadership Forum for Multicultural Youth (LFMY).

Limited spots are still available for the Leadership Forum for Multicultural Youth (LFMY).

The initiative is a partnership between the Vietnamese Community in Australia (Vic Chapter), The Dual Identity Leadership Program, Charis Mentoring, South Sudanese Australian Youth Association, Ethnic Communities Council of Victoria and Incubate Foundation.

 

LFMY Objectives are to:

 

1. Facilitate discussion with the goal of empowering a new generation of leaders within Victorian multicultural communities

2. Bring together diverse cultural leaders to collaborate on ways to unpack community issues through inspiring youth action

3. Create a network between the different ethnic communities and organisations represented, that will lead to future collaboration in events and projects
