Current Year 10s

With our current Year 11 and 12s, we continue to work closely with students to ensure that they are prepared for their transition into further education or their future pathway, while maximising their results for each subject at present. There are a range of programs open to our students that assist their applications to tertiary placements and our careers coordinator Ms Bussell is working with students in individual meetings. It is important that students avail themselves of all pertinent information and be proactive in meeting deadlines around applications through VTAC and SEAS.

Can I remind all students that non college items of uniform are not to be worn at the college. We are very proud of our uniform and expect all students to wear it with pride.

I would like to take this opportunity to discuss the upcoming mobile phone ban in all state schools 2020. As the Department of Education releases advice to schools, we will update the school community, students and our policy documentation. The Minister for Education has made it clear that during school hours, including recess and lunch that mobile phones are expected to be in lockers, or left at home. If students would like to bring a device to school, they are able to purchase a laptop from the school BYOD program (see the college website), bring in a laptop from home or bring in an iPad to use in class.

Year 9 & 10

This Monday the second group of our year 10 students will have their course counselling Interviews as part of our program to support students with subject selections into Senior years. Please discuss your child’s selections with them, the VCE handbook which can be found on the college website has detail descriptions of the subjects available. Parents are most welcome to attend interviews. Students have details of appointment times. All subject selections must be completed by this coming Friday.

Thank you to the parents of our Year 9 students who attended our information evening about subject selections available in in our year 10 program for 2020. It was lovely to see so many families attend, despite the cold weather. Please ensure online selections have been completed to guarantee preferences.
