Term 3 Writing - Historical Recounts

Over the first few weeks of term, students will be researching, planning and publishing a Historical Recount. Students are given the opportunity to research an event in history they are interested in and create a recount through a persons perspective in that event. Students have brainstormed some events in history, such as World Wars, First Fleet, Eureka Stockade, Sinking of the Titanic, and Ned Kelly.

Canberra Camp

We are in final count down until our Canberra Camp. Students will depart on the morning of Monday 1st August until Friday 5th. Throughout term 2, students have been learning about Parliament, local attractions and how Canberra was formed during our Integrated Topic, Civics and Citizenship. Students have also been researching about the Australian War Memorial and if they had any relatives that fought in any wars. All of this research and learning has been documented in a special Canberra book, for students to keep as a memory of what they have learnt and experience in Canberra.
