Parent Volunteers and Working With Children Check's

We are very fortunate to have an incredibly supportive parent community at SHS who volunteer their time regularly.

As part of our compliance with Child Safe Standards, it is important that our volunteers have a current Working With Children Check. We have many of these on file already at school, with some lapsing throughout the 2022 school year.

If you wish to volunteer at SHS we will require that our volunteers have a valid Working With Children Check. 

To get a WWCC you can visit www.workingwithchildren.vic.gov.auto start the process of getting your Free Working With Children's Check. It's a simple process that only takes a short amount of time.

Once you have received your email confirmation with a barcode, you can present the barcode at any participating Australia Post along with your photo identification to complete the process. 

Once you have received your WWCC card, please provide a copy to the school office so we can keep on file for any future volunteering opportunities.
