It's hard to believe that we are already in Week Seven of Term Three, and what an action packed term it has been!

We have had Mrs Sandilands and Ms Oliver commence their shared teaching role in the Year 2/3 classroom. We have welcomed back Mrs Haugen in a Casual Relief Teaching capacity, teaching our Specialist classes last week. Wendy Hodgkin another of our CRTs has been doing a wonderful job of leading our Specialist Classes while our Specialist Teacher, Amy Lockwood has been off enjoying seeing her family after three long years, back in England. We look forward to welcoming Miss Lockwood back to Corryong and SHS this week.

 

We have lots of events coming up, that you can see outlined below. We will also continue to give updates via the school Facebook page and through classroom parent emails.

 

Thank you to our wonderful P & F committee, our parent volunteers who have been organising hot lunches each Monday. They certainly are a highlight of each week!

What's coming up at SHS - 

Week Seven

  • Tuesday 23rd of August - Staff from ASPA will be visiting to rehearse with our Year 4/5/6 students ahead of the upcoming Sandhurst Arts on Show performance.

Week Eight

  • Monday 29th of August - 
    • Sue and Lauren from the Learner Diversity team at Catholic Education Sandhurst Ltd will be visiting SHS to complete language screeners and assessments. As well as further plan what speech pathology services will be provided to students at SHS.
    • Storying time evening 6 - 7 pm.  Students and families are invited to attend SHS in their PJs to listen to a variety of stories.
  • Tuesday 30th of August - 
    • Father's Day Gift Stall 2.10 - 3.30 pm .
    • School Advisory Council meeting 6.30 pm in the SHS Library.
  • Friday 2nd of September 
    • Father's Day Breakfast 8.15 - 9 am.
    • Book Week dress up and parade 9 - 9.30 am.

Week Nine

  • Tuesday 6th of September - Parent Teacher Meetings 3.30 pm - 6 pm.
  • Thursday 8th of September - Parent Teacher Meetings 3.30 pm - 6pm.
  • Friday 9th of September - Year 2/3 Assembly TBC

Week Ten

  • Monday 12th of September - Year 4/5/6 students will be attending Sandhurst Arts on Show in Wodonga. This will be a whole day event including bus travel. Families will be asked to drop off students earlier than usual to SHS and picked up after school hours. Exact times and further details will be provided soon.
  • Tuesday 13th of September - P & F Meeting in the SHS Library at 3.30 pm.
  • Wednesday 14th of September - David Williams from the Technology department of Catholic Education Sandhurst Ltd will be visiting SHS to present and share STEAM resources with both students and staff.
  • Thursday 15th of September  - SHS Open Day. Schools tours and information sessions for prospective parents.  Times to be confirmed.
  • Friday 16th of September - Footy Colours day. School concludes at 2.10 pm.

Athletics Carnival TBC (Likely to be Week 9 with a Week 10 back up date).
