Enrol now

It has been another term of magic at CSPS.  My team of incredible students, staff and families never cease to amaze me with their tenacity, determination and humour.

Two highlights for me this term were:

  • sharing a COVID safe hug with a parent who has had a challenging time 'getting home' from overseas and now is safe and sound with his family.  We have been counting down the days with his children and were just as excited to see each other in person.
  • having a 'cup of tea' and a chat with a Year 6 student who I have had a strong bond with for 7 years; just casually chatting about life and what he has achieved.

Please take a moment to celebrate in all that your children have achieved - we are proud of every sound learnt, word spelt, equation solved, fact shared and goal kicked.

Mental health support for students during school holidays

Mental health support, resources and advice are available for students and families to access over the holidays

The Department has developed two fact sheets for students and families to support the mental health and wellbeing of students over the school holidays.

The fact sheets highlight resources and guidance which:

  • support positive mental health and wellbeing of students
  • help students and families identify the signs that students may need mental health support
  • help students and families access support.

Child Safe @ CSPS

Are you looking to enrol your child at CSPS?

You may have a child beginning Foundation in 2021 or transferring from another school.

When selecting a school for your child it can be advisable to ask about CHILD SAFE.

What is Child safe?

All children have the right to feel safe and to be safe all of the time. An organisation or agency that provides a child safe environment is one that has a range of strategies and policies in place to ensure children are protected from harm and abuse.

Under the child safe standards schools must inform the school community about:

  • strategies to embed a culture of child safety at the school, and roles and responsibilities within the school for achieving these strategies
  • the school’s child safety policy or statement of commitment to child safety.

You also ask to see the school's:

  • code of conduct outlining clear expectations for appropriate behaviour by school staff with children (this must be publicly available)
  • strategies to promote child empowerment and participation, e.g. delivering appropriate education about standards of behaviour for students attending the school, healthy and respectful relationships (including sexuality), resilience and child abuse awareness and prevention.
  • procedures for reporting suspected child abuse.

At CSPS you can view these expectations, strategies and code of conduct on our school website - https://cranbournesouth.vic.edu.au/

Please refer to the CSPS Child Safe section under Policies.
