At Galilee community is important. Studies show that when parents are engaged in the school community, the academic and social outcomes for their children are much better. This is why we strive to provide opportunities for parents to engage in community in different ways. Below are some ways you can connect.
Our June SPaR session will be held on Tuesday June 1st in the Galilee Library. This is a great opportunity to come into the school and connect with other parents in our Galilee community, share a morning cuppa and enjoy a brief meditation to help you reset after a busy morning. If you've never been to a SPaR morning, come along and see what its all about. Toddlers and siblings are welcome.
Every Monday afternoon, parents are welcome to come into the school grounds for pick up and enjoy some time to connect with each other over afternoon tea.
If you are curious about the Catholic faith, would like to learn to pray, or are interested in listening to spiritual talks or enjoy Gospel reflections, this one is for you.
Consider which one needs watering? Which one needs pruning? Which one is blooming?
Which of these do I need to work on? Which one needs attention?
I love flowers and I always think of the spiritual life in terms of a garden of flowers.
Humility takes courage.
Gentleness needs fortitude.
Patience needs perseverance.
We often think of these as passive qualities but, on the contrary, they are hard work that require daily care.
Pride is often called the deadliest of all sins, because when there is pride, humility, gentleness and patience can't thrive. Pride is like a weed that chokes them all.
"I then, urge you to live in a manner worthy of the call you have received,
with humility, gentleness, patience, bearing with one another through love, striving to preserve the unity of the spirit through the bond of peace". Ephesians 4:1-3
