Horse Wisdom Group

Would you like to spend time with horses while learning about how to manage emotions and connecting with others?

The Horse Wisdom group will be commencing in Term 4 and is an opportunity to work with horses to learn ways to:

  • Build confidence
  • Recognise and manage  emotions
  • Learn skills to have fun with horses
  • Make connections and build resilience

Starting on Wednesday 26th October and running for 5 weeks. Students will be transported from WHS to and from the Tone Rd campus of GOTAFE in Wangaratta to participate in the groups.

Protective equipment (helmets and boots) will be provided by the school. The students will not be riding horses, they will be learning about horses, handling and brushing them as well as doing fun and therapeutic activities.

Groups will have a maximum of 4 participants and run for 1.5 hours each week. Individual sessions will also be available for students who do not feel comfortable in a group- there may be a waiting list for individual sessions.
