Class of 2022

After a crazy few years of lockdowns, regular RAT testing and social isolation – it was time for the class of 2022 to celebrate their successes! And celebrate they did! The week kicked off with the theme ‘Dress as a WHS Teacher’. There was plenty of confusion when several Mrs Hunters turned up to Health and Human Development and it was questionable which Mr Breukers was taking the Maths class.

Tuesday saw the students and several teachers dress as something beginning with the first letter of their name. Boy did they lift the bar on commitment to their costumes! Alice and the Mad Hatter, the Lorax and the X Ray, Mr Bean and Edward Scissorhands all wandering around the school was a sight to be seen!

The final day of classes meant it was time to add some modifications to the uniform they have been forced to wear since Year 7. Riding scooters and a bit of a wobble on roller skates, they arrived at school dressed in colourful dresses, ribbons and sequins, tie dyed and autograph t shirts – there was a definite buzz of excitement in the air!

As teachers began arriving to cook the final Year 12 breakfast, they were quickly stopped by some traffic cones that looked suspiciously like some of the cohort. Streamers, glad wrap, glitter, and silly string adorned the lockers, outdoor areas and classroom windows. A quick pause for a bacon and egg sandwich and a viewing of some photos from across the years and the 12s departed to continue their own celebrations.

Congratulations Class of 2022, you have been an outstanding group of students and deserving of great things in life. We wish the students sitting exams the best of luck. To all of you, we wish you great success in this next exciting chapter.

Stay tune for some video footage of the day - a big thanks to Ben Sgarioto!!
