Principal's Report

Key messages...

I acknowledge the First Peoples of the Wathaurong, who are the traditional custodians of the land and waters on which I work and live, and pay my respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.

Year 5 and Year 6 Camps

Last week, on Year 5 Camp, it was privilege to enjoy a wonderful week of growth, challenge, learning and achievement with our campers at Norval in the beautiful Grampians National Park.

Students and staff alike, faced many new experiences, and are subsequently all the better for it!  Please enjoy a selection of pictures later in the newsletter.

Our Year 6 Canberra Campers are also having a wonderful week thus far.  Having spoken to them last evening, they are having a most successful time and we can look forward to welcoming them back this Friday - no doubt, very tired!

Kinder to School Transition

Yesterday we hosted our 2023 Foundation children in their first, whole cohort visit.  During the one hour child visit into our current foundation learning spaces, parents and carers enjoyed some morning tea and a general information session in the staffroom.

It is always wonderful to welcome new and experienced foundation parents into the school, particularly into our new spaces we now enjoy.

The next transition day is Tuesday 22nd November, followed by a National Transition Day for all students on Tuesday 13th December.

Leaders & Awards recipients

This year we are establishing an altered and new approach to award recipients and leaders in our school.

All will be reflected as the most worthy, and not based on one of each gender, as per previous years.

It will be a true reflection of the most worthy students receiving and being appointed.
