A message from the Principal
As we approach the halfway point of the final term of the year, as a school we start to turn our thoughts and planning towards 2023. It is a busy time in schools, as students prepare for the final round of assessments as well as studying for the upcoming exams, while confirming their courses and programs for 2023. While planning for 2023 is full swing, this newsletter will also acknowledge the achievements and activities of our students for their work this past term.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Ms Lea Volpe for taking on the role of Acting Principal while I was away in Term 3 and to Ms Ashley Hudson for stepping into the Assistant Principal role.
Please note that Monday 5 December is a student free day. This day will be used a Professional Practice Day by all staff at the school with a focus on 2023 Curriculum Planning.
A reminder that Sunday 13 November (this Sunday) the Reservoir High Fundraising Committee’s next event is a Bunnings Sausage sizzle. This will be at the Thomastown Bunnings at 11 Dalton Road. Please come down and support the school with the purchase of a sausage (or three!).
Year 7 to 11 Subject Term 4 Week 5 Progress Reports are now published in Compass. These can be viewed and downloaded using the View Academic Reports link in the parent view of Compass, or from the Student Profile Page > Reports menu.
Use the Export as pdf option if you wish to print and/or email/share the report as it would appear on an A4 sheet of paper, including student photograph and with school colours/logo.
Since 2020, Reservoir High has been conducting Parent, Student and Teacher Conferences either through Webex (Video Conferences) or face to face and on-site at the school. Many families have reported the benefits of video conferences, while other families prefer face to face conferences. We are conducting a survey designed to help with our planning for 2023 and how we structure our Conferences.
Conferences occur in each semester, and are designed for parents to meet with teachers, and ideally start to form relationships that support learning in the classroom and at home. Conferences are not designed to report on student achievement in CATS or SACs.
Please click on this link to complete the survey and help plan for our approach in 2023.

Parent Payments
Reservoir High makes every effort to keep the cost of items and activities to support our teaching and learning program as affordable as possible. We are acutley aware of the increased cost of living pressures so have been very keen to keep parent payments again low.
We understand that some families may experience financial difficulty and offer a range of supports options including the Camps, sports and Excursion fund (CSEF), loan devices for the BYOD program and payment plans. For a confidential discussion about accessing these services, or if you would like to discuss alternative payment arrangements, contact Reservoir High School’s Business Manager:

Congratulations to all the students, staff and families involved in our 2023 Annual Production. The show was amazing! All productions at Reservoir high are local productions (that is, produced entirely on site by students and staff) and presented in our Performing Arts Centre.
This year's musical is also available on the Reservoir High "You Tube" Channel- or viewable in the window below.
I would like to thank our three sub schools for holding off on these awards until I returned from leave at the start of this term. The best part of being a Principal, is acknowledging the hard work, perseverance and achievement of individual students. Congratulations to the students who were acknowledged for their efforts and received awards at the Semester 1 Principal Awards. If you have not had a chance to see the Awards ceremony, it can be found on our "You tube" Channel or below-
