Deputy Principal Staff and Students Report

The Return of Students

In 2020 we learnt what it was like to have a school with no or very few student on campus and it was such a different and quiet place, lacking the usual life and energy. It has been a great blessing for us to have all the students return for 2021 and to be able to welcome our new students. The faces of the Year 7 students on day one showed a mixture of anxiety and excitement at the start of the day, and one can see that the students have made a great effort as they transition from primary to secondary school. We have been delighted to be enriched as a community by our youngest year level. We are very aware it is a big step, and the way that each student copes with this move to secondary school  is unique. If your child is struggling with anything at school or there is anything we can do to support them or assist them in their learning, please contact your child’s Pastoral Teacher so we can listen, learn and support.

College Uniform

It has been pleasing to see the vast majority of our students wearing our College uniform so well. A reminder that the expectations for the uniform are in the College diary. A copy is included below. Please check this if you have any questions. You are most welcome to contact your child’s Pastoral Teacher or Head of House if there are any issues with the uniform.

Second Hand Uniform

If your child requires any uniform items, please be aware that at the College we have the Second Hand Uniform Shop with very reasonably priced uniforms. If you would like to inquire about any second hand uniform items, please contact the College. The NCCA, who run our Second Hand Uniform shop, will be selling items at the Year 7 Information Night.

Partnership

As we seek to work in partnership you will have received or be receiving a phone call your child’s Pastoral Teacher. Our desire is to be working closely to support you as the Primary Educators of your children. If there is anything that you become aware of that would be relevant to us, so as to better support the learning and or wellbeing of your child, please contact your child’s Pastoral Teacher.
