Grade 3/4 Students

Celebrating our tremendous Threes and fabulous Fours !

3/4A - Miss Lee

In 3/4A, we interviewed a classmate to find out some interesting facts about them! Some of the questions included their favourite food, favourite subject at school and something they are proud of. As we continue through our Inquiry and Writing units in Term 1, students will formulate their own interview questions and create a biography about one of their peers.

3/4B - Miss Brook

In 3/4B, we’re big fans (😉) of reading! Together we read Charlotte Jane Battles Bedtime and discussed the elements of the story. Tahlia and Ethan both included some interesting key words from the story like ‘oomph’ and ‘sapped’, and elements such as the text type, main characters and the genre.

3/4C -  Mr Lewis

This week in Maths we spoke about Fixed Mindset vs Growth Mindset perspectives and how our way of thinking can often determine the outcome of achieving success in our learning.

The students took part in establishing classroom rules and expectations. Following this discussion we spoke about the power of kindness. They brainstormed quotes and created a beautiful kindness classroom display

3/4D - Mr Mitch

Throughout the week students explored each other’s hobbies, passions and interests which is displayed on the puzzle pieces below. This display symbolises that 3/4D celebrates individuality and will be united through our learning journey in 2021.

Students also performed a writing recount in relation to their recent summer holiday break.

3/4E - Ms Margarita

3/4E has had a fantastic start to the year and have been getting to know each other better. This week, they completed a "What Makes Me Me" activity in which they drew a self portrait on the left side of a page and then filled the right side with all the things that make them the unique individuals they are.
