Learning Centre 1

Time flies when you are having fun, we are already halfway through the first Term. Thank you to all the parents who attended our Prep Information Night, we have uploaded the information onto Class Dojo in case you were unable to make it.

Next week Preps will join us at school on Wednesdays marking the start of their full time school journey.

This week Preps had their first assembly! Which they all did an amazing job. We handed out our Effective Learner awards and were able to sing Happy Birthday to those who have celebrated their birthdays in January and February.

Welcome to Learning Centre 2 and 2021! It has been wonderful to welcome our year 3 and 4 students back into our space. We have been enjoying catching up with our friends, making new friends and settling into our school routines.

Learning Centre 4

In Religion this term, we have begun preparing for Easter. We have been inspired by St Oscar Romero and his example of Christ-like compassion and charity towards those who were poor, unjustly treated and outcast. His radical courage to speak the truth of the Gospel led to his assassination while saying Mass.

In Inquiry this Term, we are now exploring Digital Technologies including networks. Students have been visualising and representing networks. Here is an example from Minara in Grade 6:

Our Student Leaders have been announced and are quickly getting into action across the school in many different ways - the SRC have organised our first Casual Clothes Day, the Sports Captains are taking responsibility for equipment during breaks and the Social Justice leaders have led prayer during our first Whole School Assembly. Our Technology leaders are also eagerly preparing for lunchtime technology clubs also. However, we have also been learning that all of us in LC4 are leaders in our school, with or without a badge!
