30 PIECE CHALLENGE

The challenge is still on till 30 June.  It is a fantastic way to get your child practising! Also, this activity hi-lights the importance of the process of learning repertoire.

Beginner and intermediate pianists should have no problems getting  through 30 pieces a year. A tip to motivate the more advanced pianists  to participate is   to include shorter, "quick win" pieces in choice of repertoire.  Junior Keys, Piano Keys and Creative Keys students can include the "Concert" pieces from their coursebook.

A shorter and easier piece which can benefit as a sight reading piece and performing it in a short time can be counted too! The "one week' wonders should be of a standard they cna sight read reasonably well and then spend just a few inutes each day mastering/memorising it.

So the goal of this challenge is to help students understand that having lots of repertoire on the boil is really important.

So hope onboard quickly!  Click here
