Keen Green Team

Jack from 5CB and Marvin 6JK presented our Tip of the week.

Recycled toilet paper is made from 100 per cent post-consumer waste, such as textbooks and office paper.

Using recycled paper means fewer trees are cut down.

You can buy recycled toilet paper at most supermarkets including Woolworths and Coles

Doing this also helps wildlife so their habitats don’t get cut down

During assembly the students thanked all of the staff from Vets on Balwyn for their care of our chickens over the years.

We appreciate the time  the vets spent with our beloved chickens and are also grateful for all of the advice about our guinea pigs.

Zara Hardy, Danielle Tan and Katelyn Duong thanked the vet and asked her to accept a giant Care, Learn and Share award from our school.

Look out for the certificate next time you visit Vets on Balwyn.

Keen Green Team (KGT) video

During assembly this week Grade students from the KGT Media Team prepared a video that shows the whole school what the students in KGT do every Friday afternoon. Hopefully we can upload it soon so you can see it too.

Resource Smart - Sustainability Victoria

Our school is part of the Resource Smart Program facilitated through Sustainability Victoria.

Our work in KGT has supported our progress this year and we are pleased to announce that we have achieved the Core Module star. This module will support our continued focus in the areas of Waste and Biodiversity. We look forward to regular updates to the school community as we work on our Waste and Biodiversity modules.
