Easter; What does it mean to me?

My two older sisters and I often giggle about what Easter means to us?  Although there are obvious moments of Easter egg joy, there are a few elements that remind us of merely Easter fun beyond chocolate, like:

  • Being chased by bulls in the paddock whilst we are 'borrowing' mushrooms from the neighbours paddock.
  • Sitting at the end of our parents bed drinking hot chocolate made from thick cows milk which would make your toes curl.
  • Special pyjamas that would complement the Easter treats that you wore all day long one day during the Easter Term break.
  • A melted Family Block of chocolate kept in an ice cream bucket in the back of the Ford Falcon whilst we visited Polly Woodside.

What I would not give to experience these unique Easter moments again!

May this Easter time be spent with loved ones in a way that only you remember so fondly.

What makes us us?

Throughout the past few weeks, CSPS has been undertaking our 4 yearly School Review.  This has definitely been a worthwhile experience on a number of levels, identifying:

  • areas of success
  • what makes CSPS tick and stand out from the crowd
  • what we can focus stronger on to achieve greater results

We would like to thank all the staff, students and parents for their input.  We look forward to the next stages of the CSPS journey.

Bullying Blitz:  Why? What can I do?

There are lots of reasons why someone might bully others.  Whatever the reason, bullying is never ok.  Someone who bullies another person might:

  • Feel jealous
  • Want others to like them
  • Want to feel better about themselves
  • Want to fit in with their friends
  • Feel angry inside
  • Like to be in control or have power over others
  • Have been bullied themselves
  • Not know what they're doing is wrong

What to do if you’re being bullied?

  • Keep your distance from bullying
  • Don’t bully them back
  • Tell them what they are doing is not ok
  • Talk to an adult you trust
  • Take time to do something nice for yourself
  • Have someone help you report cyberbullying or assault

Everyone needs a support team!

Let Kids Helpline be a part of yours.  If you are being bullied, it’s really important to talk to someone you trust.  They are always here to help -  a call, start a WebChat or email.

CHILD SAFE STANDARDS.

The development and implementation of the Positive Behaviour matrix has included student voice, participation and feedback and is specifically designed to ensure consistency in the promotion of positive behaviour in our school.  This poster can be found on our school website (see link above) and is clearly displayed in our learning spaces.
