TAASS Exploration Day

The Academy of SEAL Schools (TAASS) Year 9 SEAL Exploration Day – 17 February 2020

On Monday 17 February, four of our SEAL students and I ventured off to The University of Melbourne to participate in the Year 9 Exploration Day. These students were selected based on written applications outlining reasons why they would be the best candidates to represent our school at this event.

Students from 40 of The Academy of SEAL Schools (TAASS) attended the day from all across Victoria. The whole day was organised and run by university students. It was an opportunity for students to immerse themselves in university life, whilst finding out about the different pathways and courses on offer.

“You don’t need to know exactly what you want to do in the future – there is plenty of time and the guides assured us that it is okay if you still don’t know what you want to do in the future.”

Emerson Chring

“I got the opportunity to interact with people who are just beginning their university courses.”

Kiani Wilkin

“I gained an understanding of the different courses you can take and a better idea of the types of careers these courses feed into.”
