Year 7 Physical Education

As part of a Gymnastics Unit being completed in Physical Education at Year 7, students extended their skills by utilising the apparatus at Essendon Keilor Gymnastics Academy. Each Year 7 Home Group attended a half day gymnastics workshop in August. The skills learned could then be applied to their group routines that they are completing as their major assessment for the unit.

The session was fun and there were lots of activities. My favourite activity was the cartwheels and the bars.

It was good! I liked doing the bars and I learned how to do a backwards roll!

Our favourite part of the activity was vaults and beams. We overall liked all the activities.

We came here to learn gymnastics and our favourite activity was the foam pit. We should come again it was a good experience.

We visited the Academy so that we could learn more about gymnastics. My favourite thing was achieving the pullover and candle stick on the high rings.

We went to the Academy to learn gymnastics because we are doing the same topic at school.
On the activities, we did our best as fast as we could so that we could get to the foam pit - our favourite activity!
