Computer Room Makeover!

Our computing rooms had a partial makeover during the school holidays, more work to be done but looking good!

Rising Stars Leadership Camp

In January, Mia Cincotta, Angel Gould and Holly Miller attended the Rising Stars Leadership camp for three days facilitated by Walanga Muru - Macquarie University. The girls made many friends and learnt a lot about culture, leadership and university life and have returned to school with many inspirational stories about the connections they made and the qualities they learnt about themselves as proud Aboriginal people.

Maths Club

Attention Years 9 to 12: Maths Club is starting in week 5, 27 February, with thanks to the Smith Family and our teachers. If you are interested, please get an application from Ms Lill and return it to the Maths staffroom by next Monday 18 February (Week 4). We will let you know next week if you have a place. Remember: please return your application form by next Monday.

Library Lovers' Day

 

To celebrate Library Lovers' Day the library is facilitating blind dates with books. A variety of books are wrapped and ready for you to borrow. When you borrow a blind date you receive an entry into the draw to win a novel which will be drawn on the Thursday 21 February at the end of the school day.

 

If you love creative writing, the Australian Library and Information Association is also hosting a 200 word writing competition based on the prompt 'there was love to be found in the library'. Entries are due by Friday 22 February. If you'd like more information please come to the library and see Miss Klein or check out the competition terms on the library notice board.

Valentine's Day Serenades

The Principal, Mr Backhouse was serenaded for Valentine's Day by our very musical Year 12 students.
