Year 9 Visual Arts

with Ms Keft 

We are exploring the topic of natural and man made objects with a focus on drawing at present.

These drawings are expressive and fast pen drawings that took about 20 minutes. Great results Year 9. There certainly is some talent in this class.

CAPA Staff School Photo Fun! 

Welcome to our HT CAPA Mr Jarrod Walters and our new Art teacher Mrs Gemma Lucca (bottom right) as well as to Mrs Jade Draper; Mrs Dawn Keft and Mrs Mary Gillard.

Year 12 Photography

We have spent all of last term learning how to create images over a long period of time, exploring long time exposure photos with light painting, strobe lights, panning and zooming.

We have also followed some of the ideas of David Hockney with creating joiner images. Well done Year 12 on some great work.

Instrumental and Vocal Music Lessons

Instrumental and Vocal Music lessons are available during and before school. We currently have:

• ​​Piano and singing lessons on Tuesday
• Guitar, Bass Guitar, Banjo and Mandolin lessons on Wednesday
• Drum kit lessons before school only on Thursday and Friday.

Please complete the attached permission note and return to the CAPA staffroom as soon as possible.

We also have a concert band that rehearses each Monday after school for instruments such as Flute, Clarinet, Trumpet, Saxophone, Trombone, Baritone, Percussion etc.
