Teaching and Learning
NAPLAN data for individual students has been released this week. Information is based on the tests that were conducted at school in May. Parents have been sent the results, along with a cover letter and a brochure titled ‘NAPLAN 2019 Student Reports’. This brochure contains information about the NAPLAN assessment and how to read the report.
As indicated, it is important to remember that the results provide a snapshot of student performance at a single point in time (in May). Teachers assess student learning in literacy and numeracy on a regular basis. NAPLAN testing complements but does not replace the information that teachers gather.
For the past two years, all the tests at College at Year 7 and Year 9 level were sat online. We were happy that the testing went smoothly and with the mature approach that our students took to the new format.
VCE Unit 3&4 Practice Examinations Timetable
The Unit 3&4 Practice Examinations will take place on the last day of Term 3 and the first two days of Term 4. Students will be sent a copy of the timetable next week.
A small number of students will have sessions rescheduled to fit with VCE LOTE Oral Examinations and individual arrangements will be made for these students. If a student is unable to attend any session, they should see Mr Carolan. All students are expected to attend these Practice Examinations. Subjects that are not part of the scheduled times will hold Practice Examinations in their regular class time.
