Senior Years and Wellbeing

Wellness Week and College Has Got Talent

What an amazing week we have just experienced, and all so ably organized by our wonderful SRC team led by Kate Millear and Reagan Simons.

The students devoured 400 slices of fairy bread, 200 bags of popcorn and 220 sausages. They Zumba danced, just danced and disco danced; loved the challenge of dodgeball; enjoyed random acts of kindness; competed in House Art; meditated and performed a whole school “Just Dance in Assembly.” This was just some of what went on.

The week was topped off by a most entertaining College Has Got Talent. Our comperes Riley Alexander and Nicholas Gunn (aka Lady Ga Ga and Bradley Cooper) should be looking at a professional career in talent show hosting as they controlled the night with great humor. Our judges Ms. Silva, Mr. Singh, Georgie McClure and Mr. Hiscock were just terrific with their witty and wicked comments. They were even complimentary to the teachers’ act, which personally I thought was the worst ever! This year was the first year we also had a large number of Junior Campus students performing which certainly added to the night.

Special thanks must go to Mr James Lerversha, Jack Addinsall and Thomas Stratmann for their incredible behind the scenes technical support. The night would not have been possible without them.

Well done to all our acts: how brave to stand up in front of your peers and perform. Our College really does have talent!
