From the Senior Sports Master
Thank you all for the outstanding efforts you have put into the conclusion of the summer season and the commencement of the winter season as we finish Term 1.
There have been some superb results over the past weeks and these have been detailed in previous newsletters.
I take this opportunity to wish our 1st XI every success as they travel to Queensland for the EREA Football National Tournament over the break.
In addition, we have boys participating in training camps throughout the holidays in both rugby and football, and I thank everyone involved for their support.
Have a great Easter. See you next term.

Football Results 1 April
It was great to see students our playing football again, albeit a tough week for some teams against a strong St Aloysius outfit. Training has concluded for this term but will recommence on Wednesday 26 April (first day of Term 2).
During the holidays our College 1st XI will travel to Queensland to compete in the EREA National Tournament against 15 other EREA schools from across Australia. They will be accompanied by Mr Richard Lacey, Mr Simon Yue, Ms Leisa Proc, Mr Dan Quilty, Mr Sean Brannan and Mr Michael Ronchetti. We wish them well and thank the staff for providing this opportunity for our players in their holidays.
COERVER Football camp is on during this holidays, from 12 – 14 April, and it is great that families can use their active kids vouchers. See the flyer below and book by the link https://coerver.com.au/courses

Cross Country - Run2Cure Fun Run
In support of the Neuroblastoma Cancer Research and early preparation for the Cross-Country competition to be held next term, our Cross-Country captain, Benjamin Woollard, along with 14 of our Cross-Country boys and our two coaches, Matthew North and Dominic Panozzo proudly represented St Pius X College and ran in the 5km Run2Cure Fun Run on Sunday 2 April at the Domain. Despite the rain, our boys completed the race with great enthusiasm and positivity.
A huge congratulations to Matthew North for placing 2nd and Jacob Magner for making 4th place. All boys are to be commended on their excellent effort and sportsmanship.
Special thanks to Mr Scott Steinman for accompanying the boys, his support was very much appreciated by all.
News just in: St Pius X College placed first out of all high schools in the 5km fun run. Congratulations to all participants for this wonderful result!
