Pre-K to Year 2

What's been happening in our Learning Spaces?

Our Early Years children have had a fabulous time making imaginative creations in the nature playground. Please see the photographs below with some examples. These pictures are a wonderful representation of how nature can inspire children to use simple objects to create beautiful artworks and constructions.

The Early Years

Welcome back to Term Two! I hope all our Salvado families had a safe and happy school holiday break.

The term started back with a meaningful Liturgy to acknowledge ANZAC Day. This was led by the Year 4 and Year 7 classes combined. Although not all of the early years attended this Liturgy, the individual Learning Spaces completed specialised activities to help the students understand and commemorate the day.

Please see below some photographs of the activities completed.

The Early Years have had a very busy start to Term Two… interviews have been completed for our new Pre-Kindy class, which will be starting on Monday, 22 May. Our Kindy students are currently completing their Speech and Occupational Therapy screens, as well as starting their school nurse appointments.

Our Year Two Learning Spaces both have University Student Teachers this term. The students will be undertaking a range of teaching experiences including, whole class and small group instruction. The Salvado community welcome Miss Yanira O’Brien (2R) and Miss Madison Hagar (2G).

The students are having a great time sharing fun facts about their Mums/special females in their life in the lead up to Mother’s Day. We hope to see lots of our Mums attend the Mother’s Day morning tea this Friday.
