Deklan makes the Fremantle Dockers Next Generation Academy!

Deklan (Year 9) has been training and working hard with the Fremantle Dockers Next Generation Academy for the past three years. His dedication and commitment to learning more, and wanting to be the best has consistently seen him being invited back for three consecutive years.

All of Deklan's hard work paid off on the weekend when he was selected out of 45 kids to make a squad of 24 for a game against the Naitanui Academy Squad at Optus Stadium as a curtain raiser for the first 2023 Derby.

Whilst Deklan is a mad Eagle's fan, he was proud to be a part of the Roger Hayden Squad for the Fremantle Dockers Next Generation Academy, and take to Optus Stadium to get the win over the Eagles Team.

Deklan played in the backline and was an asset to stopping the Eagles scoring too many goals. The final score was Fremantle 9.10 (64) West Coast 7.3 (45).

We hope that this is just the beginning of what can be a great career for Deklan and hopefully the start of playing at Optus for him.

Congratulations and well done, Deklan!
